Who We Are
Mission: To provide access to quality medical care and related services to children in need around the world.
Healing the Children New Jersey (HTCNJ) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1981 with the vision to create a world where every child has access to quality medical care. Since its inception, HTCNJ has provided care to more than 40,000 children, helping nearly 1,000 children each year. Headquartered in Passaic County, NJ – HTCNJ is highly efficient, allocating 91% of all funds to programs and services.
HTCNJ is led by a volunteer Board of Trustees along with a small staff of administrators whose charge is to fulfill the mission.
What We Do
By providing access to quality medical care through our three unique programs
we strive to help children live normal lives that are healthier, happier, and more optimistic.
- Medical Teams Abroad – HTCNJ sends volunteer medical teams overseas to provide pro-bono medical care to children in need.
- International Inbound – HTCNJ hosts children from around the world while they receive medical treatment not available in their native countries.
- Brighter Futures NJ– HTCNJ helps children with developmental disabilities and complex medical diagnoses by providing specialized equipment, therapeutic care, therapy toys, adapted activities and camperships.
