Bergen Volunteers - Mentoring

Youth 8 - 18+ program - connects adolescents between the ages of 8-18 years old with caring adult mentors. We specifically seek to improve the lives of young people and help them achieve a personal goal through fun, friendship and community outings.

Our mentoring program recruits, screens, trains and supervises volunteers to ensure they have the tools necessary to positively impact the lives of mentees. Training incorporates strength based and trauma informed care perspectives. Supervision includes ongoing support to individual mentoring matches, scheduled round table discussions for mentors, and whole group activities to promote a sense of community among all of our matches.
