Opportunities From: Bergen Volunteers

Volunteer musicians are needed to play any time during the day especially during meals on Christian Health's Wyckoff campus. Hours are typically between 10:00am to noon, 1:30 to 3:30pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm. 

Requirements: All Christian Health volunteers must complete an application, annual training, background screening. If volunteering in resident/patient areas, Christian Health requires at least a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service throughout the calendar year and to be fully vaccinated (boosted) against COVID-19 and influenza for the current flu season (November - April). 

Volunteers are needed for the Bolger Rehabilitation Gym and Wellness Center at Christian Health. Volunteers push patients/residents in wheelchairs to and from physical/occupational therapy appointments. The therapists also need assistance getting equipment and shadowing during individual sessions.

The times where volunteers are needed include,

- Mornings 7 days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30pm

- Afternoons 7 days a week from 1:00 to 3pm

If volunteering in resident/patient areas, Christian Health requires at least a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service throughout the calendar year and to be fully vaccinated (boosted) against COVID-19 and influenza for the current flu season (November - April/May). 

A volunteer is needed to play hymns for worship services for Christian Health residents one Tuesday or Sunday per quarter from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements: All Christian Health volunteers must complete an application, annual training, background screening. If volunteering in resident/patient areas, Christian Health requires at least a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service throughout the calendar year and to be fully vaccinated (boosted) against COVID-19 and influenza for the current flu season (November - April). 

Pet therapy volunteers who own certified pet therapy animal(s) are needed in a variety of program areas at Christian Health. Pet therapy provides an opportunity for Christian Health residents and patients to give and receive physical touch, display affection, and raises spirits. Volunteers are needed seven days a week between 9 a.m. and noon, 1 to 4pm and 6:00 to 7pm.
