Volunteer Time 10:30 am - 2:30 pm Event Time 11 am - 2 pm
Alpine Learning Group, New Jersey's preeminent autism center, transforms the lives of individuals with autism and their families by providing innovative, comprehensive, and scientifically validated services across the lifespan. As a volunteer with Alpine’s Development Department, you will have the opportunity to support a wide variety of projects. Projects are assigned based on volunteer interests and skills and can include fundraising events, on site learner, staff and family engagement, marketing and social media strategy and implementation, constituent and database management, and more. Under the supervision of Alpine’s Director of Development and Development Associate, the volunteer role can contribute to both short or long term projects that meet fundraising and communications goals for the organization.
Ideal volunteer likes working with children, is interested in learning, is flexible, and can work as a part of a team.
Option 1- Large Activities
Assist with outdoor rides, facilitate crowds, assist attendees as needed, keep lines moving for bungee rides or water slides (please specify preference).
Option 2- Small Activities
Assist in monitoring lawn games, bubble zone, and temporary tattoo table. Initiate games when traffic is slow, keep bubble machine full, and serve as crowd control in this area.
Option 3- Food
Keep drinks and snacks stocked, facilitate crowds, keep lines moving, keep dining area clean, direct crowds to food and ice cream truck when appropriate.
Option 4- Music
Assist FunikiJam Music Group with crowd control and attendee engagement throughout the day.
Important To Know
- All volunteers must wear a mask while volunteering.
- Volunteers age 14-16 must be accompanied by a parent, 17 and up may volunteer on their own.
