Center for Food Action’s Saddle Brook Warehouse is the primary packing hub for food distributed across Bergen County.
Volunteers assist with packing food boxes, sorting donations, organizing inventory, and preparing pallets for distribution to CFA sites. This role is essential to keeping our distribution sites stocked and operating smoothly.
Volunteer Commitment (Required):
CFA is an ongoing volunteer program, and we ask volunteers to commit to one shift per week on the same day, at the same time, and at the same location on a consistent, recurring basis. We do not offer one-time-only individual volunteer opportunities, and all sites are closed on weekends.
Physical Requirements:
This is a physically active warehouse environment and may involve standing for extended periods, bending and reaching, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, and working safely around warehouse equipment. Closed-toe shoes are required and work boots or steel-toed boots are strongly encouraged.
Volunteers must be 16+ and agree to CFA policies and Code of Conduct.
