Job Title: Hybrid Social Media Intern
Location: Paramus, NJ / Hybrid (Remote & In-Office)
Position Type: Internship (Part-Time @ 6 hrs per week)
About Us: Bergen Volunteers is committed to engaging volunteers with meaningful opportunities to help neighbors in need; and to provide training to rising community leaders. We’re looking for a creative, motivated college student to join our team as a Social Media Intern and help amplify our brand online.
Role Overview: The Social Media Intern will support the Director of Development & Communications in planning, creating, and managing content across multiple social media platforms. This hybrid role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and audience engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- Assist with social media campaigns and promotions
- Monitor social media trends and suggest creative content ideas
- Track performance metrics and assist in reporting analytics
- Engage with visitor comments/messages on social media as directed
- Support the marketing team on various projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field
- Interest and proficiency in social media platforms and trends
- Solid writing and communication skills (media literacy, brand building/engagement, storytelling, visual communication)
- Light graphic design skills (Canva preferred)
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and visuals
- Professional and reliable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented and organized
Schedule:
- Stipend available
