Opportunities From: Bergen Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help at the food pantry on Tuesday, November 18 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Volunteers will help unload food delivery truck, put donated food out on pantry shelves and help hand out food. 

You do not need to sign up for every Friday. Must be able to get to the food pantry, transportation is not provided. Service hours for the hours worked only available if needed. 

The pantry operates Rain, snow and shine.

Volunteers are needed to help at the food pantry every third Tuesday at 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Volunteers will help unload food delivery truck, put donated food out on pantry shelves and help hand out food.

Volunteers are needed to help at the food pantry on Fridays at 10:00am.Volunteers will help put donated food out on pantry shelves and help hand out food.

Description of Duties: Help maintain and upkeep the Food Bank, including the stocking and sorting of food items, and filling orders.

Program Overview: Our Kosher Meals on Wheels program is a lifeline for seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties. In addition to receiving seven nutritionally balanced meals weekly, volunteers also deliver vital human contact and conversation, while also taking the opportunity to check on a senior’s health status and conditions in their home. Drivers pick up the meals in Teaneck and deliver the meals to up to five clients. Routes are available throughout Bergen County and take into consideration the location of the volunteer's home. We have an increased need for drivers in Ft. Lee.

Time Commitment: Approx. 1-3 hours once per week during the day.

Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Must have a clean driving record and car insurance.
