Community Food Bank of New Jersey

Who We Are

Mission: To fight hunger through meals, job training, nutrition education, and advocacy for lasting change.

We fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. Working together with volunteers, donors and our many partners, we work to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope. The Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is the state’s largest anti-hunger organization, which has been delivering food, help, and hope for 50 years. Last year, CFBNJ provided nutritious food for over 90 million meals.

What We Do

Our hunger-relief programs address the need by delivering after-school meals and supplemental food for children, providing job training to those seeking a second chance, and teaching people how to eat healthy on a budget. We also partner with government representatives and coalitions to affect long-term change, championing transformative legislation.
