Who We Are

Mission: To provide clean, safe, affordable and well maintained housing for the residents of their community that is free from discrimination.

Englewood Housing Authority (EHA) is a private nonprofit organization that owns and operates the low-income senior building at 111 West Street as well as other properties in Englewood.

The Englewood Housing Authority was formed prior to 1976 for the initial purpose of constructing the Tibbs Senior Citizen Building at 111 West Street, comprised of 152 units; 111 zero bedroom units and 41 one bedroom units. The building opened in 1976 as scheduled and was funded as a public housing unit under the U.S. Department of HUD. As of January 1, 2017 the Tibbs building has been converted into the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) project.  All public housing units have been revised to Project Based Voucher.

What We Do

The Englewood Housing Authority helps their residents improve the quality of their life by creating and supporting opportunities for their economic independence, educational growth and personal fulfillment.
