healingSPACE: A Sexual Violence Resource Center

Mission: To build more just and inclusive communities through trauma-informed care, empowerment programs, anti-racism training and education, and mission-linked policy advocacy.

For over a century, YWCA Northern New Jersey (YWCANNJ) has been on the forefront of the fight against gender and racial discrimination. Operated by the YWCA Northern New Jersey, the healingSPACE is a safe and welcoming place for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. The healingSPACE is Bergen County’s state-designated and only Sexual Violence Resource Center.

Trained advocates provide individual counseling, facilitate support groups, and accompany survivors through medical, legal, and other proceedings associated with sexual violence.

The healingSPACE offers a variety of resources and support options for survivors of sexual violence and their families.
