At its heart, The Salvation Army is a church. This foundation is what motivates us to do the work that we do. We love God and serve others because of His love for all. That’s where our mission comes from – to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet needs in His name without discrimination. Because we want others to come to know God’s love too. These are our marching orders.

The Salvation Army’s mission is motivated by the love of God and they provide multiple ways to meet the needs of the community such as empowering youth and meeting their basic needs, first responders in disaster relief, eliminating hunger and providing food support programs, housing stability, service to break the cycle of poverty, bringing cheer to families during the holidays, rehabilitation services, adult senior care, veteran service assistance, service to families affected by the justice system and those in prison, and without discrimination, Salvation Army also offers spiritual guidance.
