Who We Are
Mission: To advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children living in the foster care system.
Bergen County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for children in the foster care system within Bergen County, New Jersey. Their goal is to ensure that every child who has experienced abuse or neglect is safe, has a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
What We Do
- Volunteer Advocacy: Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care.
- Child Welfare Support: Ensuring that children receive necessary services and assistance, working towards their safe and permanent placement.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteers are everyday people who are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children living in the foster care system. A CASA volunteer advocates for one child’s case until he/she is placed into a safe, permanent and loving home.
