Mission: To provide food assistance to local individuals and families during times of hardship to ensure that our neighbors don’t go hungry.

For over 100 years, the volunteers at Social Service Association of Ridgewood & Vicinity have been dedicated to helping the local community. We provide food, emergency rent, utility assistance, and support services to our neighbors in need. Our neighbors in need include single and two-parent families, the elderly, and the disabled. Their challenges include unemployment, underemployment, and life-changing illness or death. 45% of those we assist are children.

We are neighbors helping neighbors. On a mission to provide food, emergency rent, utility assistance and support services to individuals & families in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Ho-Ho-Kus, Wyckoff and Waldwick, New Jersey. SSA is almost entirely funded through generous contributions from individuals and organizations.
