The Story of Maria
At 84, Maria has lived in her home for over 50 years. After a recent fall, simple things lik
e a loose railing became scary obstacles. Because of supporters like you, our CHORE crew made her home safer at no cost. Today, Maria is independent and exactly where she wants to be: home.

Help seniors stay safe, supported, and connected in their homes. Through programs like CHEER, CHORE, and the Shirvan Family Senior Safety Initiative, volunteers provide companionship, home safety assessments, and essential repairs-giving seniors the dignity and security they deserve.
Empower youth and low-income families with programs such as VITA, Mentorship and Bergen READS, to help build confidence, gain guidance, and unlock opportunities for a brighter future.
