Make a difference in the life of a grieving child - become a volunteer! Our programs are free of charge and are offered to children ages 7-17.
Comfort Zone is a lot like regular camp! It’s fun. It has all the traditional parts of camp-archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, bonfires, s’mores and more! A unique part of Comfort Zone is we also do work to help kids with their grief. You don’t need to have experienced a loss or have any clinical background.
During this four-hour volunteer training session, you will meet Comfort Zone staff, campers, and volunteers who will explain what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children and teens. You will receive education about childhood bereavement and we’ll give you tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill.
I’d like to invite you to our next Volunteer Training: Saturday, September 20 (9am-1pm)
