Assist TNC staff with our annual Haunted Forest Event (educational, not scary)
Event Description
Tours depart every 15 minutes between 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Arrive early or come after dark and meet several live nocturnal animals on a sensory safari along our trails. Learn about animal senses and then test your own sensory skills.
Tenafly Nature Center Environmental Educators will guide small groups along the nature center trails. Designed to be entertaining and educational, tours take 1.5 hours. After which participants can enjoy refreshments and crafts around the campfire.
All ages welcome. No strollers please. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held under cover, but dress for the weather. Space is limited and pre-registration is highly recommended; walk-ins will be accepted as space allows, but cannot be guaranteed a tour.
Duties include setup and breakdown, assisting with crafts, games, campfire s'mores, live animal stations, etc.
