The Food Brigade Inc. needs VOLUNTEER DRIVERS to deliver packaged, restaurant-prepared meals to local residents in need who are unable to come to our distribution site.
Our meal distribution operation takes place on Tuesday, September 14; drivers depart from our headquarters at Calvary United Methodist Church, 185 W. Madison Avenue, Dumont, between 4:30-5:00 p.m. and generally travel no further than a 10-mile radius of the distribution site.
In addition to signing up for a slot here at BergenVolunteers.org, you must register as one of our volunteers at https://foodbrigade.org/volunteer - this is required by our insurance carrier.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer with us must be fully vaccinated and must provide a copy of their COVID-19 Vaccination Card - NO EXCEPTIONS.
All volunteers must wear face masks. Face masks must be worn over the mouth AND nose and not removed at any time. Volunteers must practice social distancing to the greatest extent possible.
PLEASE NOTE: If you receive an automated email notification through this platform stating that the "need" has "ended", please do not think that means we no longer need you to volunteer! You are still very much needed; please disregard that notification!
